Demons - "professionals" of manipulation and fiction
In the parable story “My after-death adventures” by Yulia Voznesenskaya, it was possible to convey in a comprehensible and narrative form the meaning of the teachings of the Orthodox Church about the soul in the afterlife. This is a meeting with the dark forces, and the help of the Guardian Angel, and the passage of ordeals, and many other issues.
Demons are dreamers
After the main character of the book Anya left her body, and her adventures began. At first, some aliens came to her. In fact, they were none other than demons. They inspired the heroine that they appeared from a distant planet specifically to take her soul. As grandpa Ani says, they fool modern people with modern methods.
As masters of temptations and manipulations, they decided to demonstrate to a woman what their planet looks like.
It was an unprecedented landscape:vegetation of all colors of the rainbow against a green sky with a blue sun, purple forests and pink oceans, some flying animals with aliens on the winged backs, slender and fragile-looking buildings, more like temples than housing
But was it all real? Of course not. Orthodox teaching says that God can create and create. Demons can only push people to sin, send them the appropriate thoughts. If they cannot really create something, then human perception can change.
Ways to tempt a person
Julia Voznesenskaya conveyed the same meaning with the help of specific pictures: demons in the image of aliens are trying to tempt the main character to follow them. For this they show her a “cinema” with beautiful unearthly landscapes.
But it didn't quite work. Therefore, the evil spirits decided to attract the attention of another temptation: a white villa on a golden hill, near it - a pink pond with floating birds of wonder. If the heroine follows them, she will live in this house.
Does this not remind of the temptation of Christ in the desert? Satan then offered all the riches of the world, if Jesus would worship him.
But even such fantasies and promises did not impress the heroine. In terrestrial life a similar situation is also often observed. Sly spirits are trying to somehow tempt a person. Try, for example, gluttony. It does not work - then laziness. If this does not succeed, then with idle talk, envy, pride and further down the list, until you manage to seduce a person. The holy fathers also speak about such influence of demons.
The heroine of the parable story turns out to be in a similar situation. Demons are trying different ways to lure her to his side.
Since the landscapes and the villa did not impress her, the evil spirits decided to use the proven method - influence through the memories of their relatives. They showed a picture allegedly from the happy life of her family: loving mother and father, dear brother Alexey.
And here the heroine noticed a “puncture”. Her parents behaved differently in life. After the death of their brother, they blamed each other for this misfortune, and then even came to mutual hatred. The heroine did not believe this "commercial". To entice her to the side of evil, we needed a more experienced seducer. Then the devil himself appears.
The Devil is a Master of Reincarnation
In the teaching of the Orthodox Church, you can hardly find its specific and unambiguous characteristic (it looks like this only in this way; it always behaves this way and that). There is information that this is a fallen angel who opposed the will of God and fell away from the Creator, which means he became his adversary.Satan is called the prince of this world, because he really managed to attract a significant number of people to his side. To live in sin, to succumb to the temptations is much easier than to resist it, to move along the narrow path of salvation.
The Holy Fathers warn: the devil is a skilled master of reincarnation. Therefore, we must be very careful not to get into his network.
Julia Voznesenskaya managed to successfully convey the image of the devil. He appeared in front of the main character in the form of a beautiful stranger, who immediately seemed so comfortable with trust. His eyes supposedly shone with wisdom and understanding. He used an individual approach to everyone. But besides this, he noted the authority and vanity.
For example, the main character of the book was a dissident, so the devil took care of her from childhood, fed her pride, independence, freedom of judgment. He promised her to stay in a beautiful place where there is a lot of fun, no worries. It was necessary only to follow him. He did not openly give his name, so the main character confused him aloud with Christ. From the name of Jesus alone he twisted, part of his spell dispelled, the main character began to distinguish this theatricality and pathos.
Cross - spiritual protection
Then one more fact becomes clear: the mysterious stranger was very afraid of the cross. He tried in various ways to persuade the heroine to remove him.
The teaching of the Church indicates that the cross is an instrument of human salvation. Therefore, when moving to other faiths, a person is required not only to renounce his life, but also to remove his spiritual protection - the cross.
This episode is another reason for each person to think about what the cross on his neck means to him - a small talisman, a metal ornament or a great tool of protection.
